During the time the boys were growing up, Metta was a school bus driver, first in Raytown and then, when the family moved to the Lone Jack area, she became a school bus driver for the Lone Jack Schools.
Between working and raising her family, Metta had taken college classes and obtained her Bachelor of Education degree and Master’s of Education degree.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, traveling and visiting with people.
Mary Margaret Ingels, 90, formerly of Pleasant Hill, passed from this life December 20, 2010 at the Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore. Ingels was born April 25, (a twin) in 1920 to Boone and Dorothy (Buckner) Ingels Sr. She taught Sunday school, volunteered as secretary, served as Circle moderator, a Moderator of Presbyterian Women, an Elder and the Clerk of Session for 25 years. Ingels was a past president of the Pleasant Hill Historical Society, serving as secretary; she also served the Cass County Historical Society as secretary.
She was a lifelong resident of Cass County, and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School with the class of 1938. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Jane Daniel of Cambridge, Mass.; two great nephews, Kermit Daniel of Chicago, IL and Grant Daniel of Louisiana; one nephew, Richard Boone Ingels of Pleasant Hill; one great nephew, Justin Boone Ingels and one great niece Danielle Gail Ingels, both of Athens, GA; one niece, Mary Katherine Jenkins of St. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boone Ingels Sr. Casket bearers were Richard Jenkins, Richard Ingels, Frank Dinges, H.
He was preceded in death by his father Allen, his paternal grandparents, Ted and Eula Peterie and maternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Mc- Donald. He was born January 23, 1927 in Le Roy, Kansas, the son of Jesse Ray and Iva (Wright) Rohr.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. Willis was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.On December 7, 1941, Metta was united in marriage with Robert Adams in Kansas City.They made their home in the Raytown area.• Robert passed away on January 5, 1991.He was also a member of the United States Army from 1975 to 1979.Gary was a member of the Chillicothe Elks 656 and was a former member of the Sweet Springs Lions Club.There will be a scheduled Elks service on Wednesday, December 29 at p.m. After serving his country, be began working at Safeway Frozen Foods.
